The EM Localizer is a very simple mobile app provided by EM Microelectronic, which enables every visitor of the CeBit 2016 in Hannover to navigate inside of the SWISS Pavilion. It gives the visitors their current position and guides them turn by turn to a selected exhibitor. The app works like an external navigator but inside: it displays the user s position on the Pavilion floor map with a high accuracy in real time. The smartphone position is determined with the help of Bluetooth Smart, very low power beacons scattered throughout the Pavilion. The app does not transmit any personal information. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. EM Microelectronic (D500) is present at the exhibition on the SWISS Innovation booth (D30, Hall 6) in collaboration with the SWISS Pavilion.
Requires iOS 8.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
